POSITION SUMMARY:

The Cornerstone Production Assistant (P.A.) is an entry-level position that plays an essential role in assisting both the Production and Account Executive teams with the various tasks required to deliver world-class events to our clientele. What attributes do you need to be successful?

  • Proficient written and oral Communication Skills.

PRIMARY ASSIGNED DUTIES

The Cornerstone Production Assistant engages with the entire event cycle, including client meetings, pre-production planning, on-site event management, vendor relationships, and general tasks as assigned. While every event varies, the following list includes an overview of the types of activities you will be responsible for at Cornerstone:

  • Assist as needed with meeting scheduling, catering, and general errands.
  • Attend and take notes at client and internal meetings as assigned.
  • Manage and organize media using various file-hosting services.
  • Update equipment databases as needed.
  • Compile and edit presentations and event communications.
  • Research décor/party elements with vendor pricing.
  • Assist other departments, as needed, both in our offices and when on show-site.
  • Compile scripts and build event agendas, timelines, and production schedules.
  • Act as a showrunner during events.
  • Attend and participate in department meetings and activities.
  • Assist with post-cons by preparing event recap documents as assigned.
  • Any other assigned duties that help drive our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our department's Core Values, which include teamwork, accountability, and relationships.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education: A high school diploma and relevant work experience are preferred.

Experience: One to two years of prior client-facing corporate event and project management experience is preferred.

Physical Demands: The P.A. position encompasses work performed in an office environment, which includes the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards, as well as on-site during actual events, which requires the employee to stand for extended periods and walk over large distances. Some lifting (up to 40 lbs.), carrying, pushing, and pulling is also required.

Work Environment: The physical environment may require the employee to work inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.It is common to work in environments with riggers, electricians, and heavy machinery, including forklifts, power tools, and trucks, requiring employees to follow strict safety protocols.

Schedule and Travel Requirements: Long days, weekends, and extensive travel are common.
